Isle of Grain LNG terminal receives first gas

Isle of Grain, UK - The Isle of Grain LNG project, which is owned and operated by National Grid Grain LNG Ltd, has received its first shipment of LNG, engineering company CB&I has announced. Receipt of the shipment is part of the final cool-down and commissioning process.

CB&I is the engineering, procurement and construction contractor on this Grain LNG expansion project, which increased the facility's capacity to 8.6 billion cubic meters per year, or 12% of the UK's current gas demand.
